Legit or Scam? This is always the first question asked whenever I tell someone about how I make money online. Despite knowing me and trusting me, they still question it because there are so many scams out there on the internet today. So I am writing this article to give you some tips on how to be certain whether the online money making site you are considering joining is a scam or a legit way to make some extra money.
1. The first thing you want to do is go to the site itself. Read their terms of service and guidelines and any other information they provide about how their website works. If the website doesn’t seem professional or legit, chances are it is not. If the site requires any sort of fee or credit card information up front, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is a scam. What it does mean is that you need to do a lot more research before joining.
2. If everything looks good with the site though, then you should do an internet search (preferably using one of the major 3, Google, Yahoo, or Bing) of the name of the website.
By doing this, you are looking to get the opinions of outside sources. Ideally, you would want to read at least 10-15 personal websites or blogs about the site you are considering joining. More if a fee is required. Read a few from page 1, and then go deeper and read some of the ones that are not as highly ranked. High ranking doesn’t always mean accurate or truthful. Don’t be alarmed if in that 10-15, 1-2 are negative. There are always people who will have a bad experience because they don’t understand the program and will then make negative remarks about the site or are simply talking negative about one site so they can promote another and convince you to join that one. If you do the search and cannot find many blogs or personal sites, that should be a huge red flag.
3. Something you should find on most of the personal sites or blogs you look at is proof of payment. This is one of the most important things to look for. If you cant find proof of people being paid, then you should avoid the site. If the site has a forum, then you should check there for proof of payment as well. Many sites will have a thread where members post either pictures of their checks or paypal transactions so they can build up their reputation. CashCrate.com is one of the sites that uses this tactic. They have the “Official I Got Paid Thread” where they have over 4 years of proof of payment from members. It is definitely a selling point for many people among the other characteristics of CashCrate.
4. If the site does have a forum, most allow you to join before joining the site. I would highly recommend doing this because it will allow you to post questions about anything you are still unsure of about the site, and get answers from people who have first hand experience with the site.
I hope these tips can help you make an informed decision about whether or not to join a certain online money making site. If you have anything to add to these tips or feel anything I have said is incorrect please feel free to add to it or change it.

I have been involved with cashcrate for a little over 18 months now. Like anyone who is skeptical about money making programs, I did my research before joining and in fact even though I had first heard of the program 3 years ago, it took me a further 18 months before I joined, in hind sight I now wish I joined right from the start, but like everything else in this world it is never too late to get started. I was surprised to find that to signup it was completely free and so were many of the offers that cashcrate promotes, all you need is some time and email address to get started.
There are three main factors when it comes to making money on Cashcrate and these cater for everyone from those that just want to do a few offers and surveys when they have time and make minimum payout each month, right through to the top end affiliate marketers that want to make $1,000 plus each month, to date the highest check that I have seen someone get for a month was a little over $1,800.00.
The first way to make money online with Cashcrate is very straight forward and that is to complete the surveys and offers. This is very simple and all the information you need is supplied to you in order to get paid for each offer. Most free offers pay anywhere from 25 cents to $2.00, the payout is clearly marked as is what is required to complete each offer, this makes it easy for you to select which offers you are interested in. It is only natural that many people want to do the offers with the bigger payouts, but the smaller offers are quite good to and are usually very easy to complete and quick to do, compared to some of the higher value offers, so a balance of both is the way to go I believe. Some offers require a credit card and an upfront fee to be paid, these are usually trials of products and services and can pay anywhere up to $40.00 if at the end of the trial you are not satisfied with the service or trial you simply cancel and you still receive your payment for trialing the service. This is a win win situation all round, we as the consumers get a bonus for trying something new and the advertisers supplying the service get potential new customers.
The second way to earn money through Cashcrate is via their daily surveys, these are simple market research questionnaires, you are not signing up for any service or anything like that, these are legitimate surveys that big companies are wanting the opinions of consumers. Market research is big business and with the massive potential for both losses and profit when it comes to releasing new products, gauging the opinion of the public before release can give companies a competitive edge. Surveys can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes, unfortunately it is pretty much the luck of the draw when it comes to how long they take, you can do two daily surveys every 24 hours and get paid about $1.00 each. So without doing any offers and just completing 2 daily surveys each day you can earn yourself an easy $60.00 per month, it may not sound like a lot, but if you are at home and not working then that $60.00 can really help out.
Cash Crate offers one more way to earn money and that is through referrals. By no means do you need to go out there and try and recruit referrals just to make payment each month, you can quite easily get paid every month just from completing free offers and doing daily surveys. However, some people earn a decent income just from the referrals, so if you have the time, you can look into this. You should definitely have a look at the forum, if you are interested in having a go at getting referrals particularly if you are new to online money making, the people in the Cash Crate forum, love sharing their success and are more then willing to give you tips and share their experience and to be honest some of the information you get from the forum just from asking a few questions is priceless and can really help you out, this is a really refreshing change as most of this type of information is a closely guarded secret by a lot of affiliate marketers who simply don’t want extra competition. So if you are serious about this type of online income, it is a must to become a part of the forum and like the site it self it is 100% free.
Cashcrate has small minimum payout of $20 per month and if you do not reach payout your earnings will be added into the next month, as to how much you can earn? It really depends on how much time and effort you put into offers and referral building, but I am confident in saying that by doing a combination of both and sending a message to your downline through the cashcrate system of offers that you have recently completed, so that they can have a look at doing them to, then there is no reason why everyone that joins can not make an extra $100 to $200 per month.
For people who are just starting out, and are on a shoe string budget, Cash Crate will start bringing in some money every month and help you put money towards building an online money making business or the extra money can just simply help you out with the bills around the house. Cashcrate is not a scam in any way and I highly recommend for everyone to join the site and have a look for themselves.
