NFL Season

It is almost upon us. Training camps are starting and football is back in the air. The most popular sport in the United States will be starting with preseason games in a little over a month. Not a lot of people care about pre-season games, but pre-season means that the season is almost here.

Football is the most popular sport here in the united states. There are teams in most major cities and it is all over the television. In face that is where the NFL makes the most money is by their TV contracts.

There are many great teams this year. Cowboys, Colts, Ravens, Saints, Chargers, and others. One of the best things about the NFL is that every year there are suprise teams. A team that was not very good the year before but they come out strong and make a push and make the playoffs. It happens every year, while this may not happen in all sports.

Myself, I am a Chicago Bears fan, and a lot of people are not believing in the Bears this year. However, they have a great young quarterback, Jake Cutler, who can make a huge difference. They also have improved their defence and are getting healthier.

Sundays soon will be back and we will be able to watch football all day. For guys, what is better. Not a whole lot. Meeting up with friends, getting some snacks and drinks. And watching your favorite team play.

Right now there is a labor issue upon us. After this season, the contract ends between the owners and players. Hopefully, they will be able to come to a understanding soon. If they do not, we may not have football next year, or only for part of they year. It is a very touchy subject that could be talked about for hours. I hope that they will realize a win win for everyone.

NFL is back and it is going to be great. One thing that is great as well is cashcrate. Cashcrate is a free site that allows you to earn extra money by doing surveys, fill out questioners, playing games, referring family and friends. Cashcrate is great and I hope you go and check it out!

Tipping

I have never worked in the food industries but have many friends and people I know that do. One thing I always hear about is about how people have tiped them. It does not matter if is good or bad. It used to be that a good tip or the ettique was 15% but now it is 20%.

We tip based on service. If the server was good and came around a lot you should absoultely give them twenty perecent. Everyone says no matter what that is what you should give, even with bad service. They say that because servers have to pay bartenders, cooks, bus boys, hostess and more. So others are depending on the money just as well. As well in some states require that they pay taxes on 15% or more of total food sales.

I usually give 20% plus, I haven’t had a bad expierence like other people. But I can see instances for bad tipping. If the server is not paying attention to you enough, ingoring you, attitude and others. If it is really bad I suggest tipping less. Real less to show them that you are paying attention and doing it on purpose.

But there are some things that the servers can not control and should not be punished for. If the food is taking long, it does not mean that it is the servers fault. It could be that the kitchen is buzy, or it is the cooks fault, or they had to get something defrosted and etc. Or if they are not coming enough to the table but they may be really busy. They might had a problem at another table.

I do not support paying less than 20 percent or tipping poor. But if the server is being really rude, or not coming to your table and you can see them goofing around with others, or something just extreme than you should. It should only be extreme circumstances.

Servers have bad days, they are real people and have thing going on in their life. It could be a bad day, you can not always clear your mind. But if they give a good effort they deserve 20% or more. And if they are great you should give them more. Remember they make less than $3 an hour, they earn their money on tips.

Please tip your server, that is their salary. I am able to go to restaurants and tip well because of cashcrate.com. Cashcrate is a free site that allows you to earn money from doing surveys, playing games, answering questions and more. Cashcrate is great and lets you earn extra money for you to spend. Facebook

Nowadays almost everyone has a facebook account. Maybe not everyone but a lot of people do and it is growing every day.

Facebook starting to take off in about 2005. I remember it was my last year at college and my second semester. Someone was like join facebook and be my friend. Back then it wasn’t as known and popular as today. I started off and I probably had maybe 20 friends by the end of the month.

Back then not everyone knew what facebook was, or they thought it was just a fad and it wouldn’t last that long. But today, I walk down the street all the time and hear people say facebook. Be my friend, I’ll put it on facebook, facebook this facebook that. It is actually a little comical.

Also back there was the big two. Myspace and Facebook. More people were on Myspace and less of facebook. Myspace is still around, but is nowhere near facebook.

Facebook oftens changes it settings and looks. A lot of people get upset when this happens. It always seems to happen when people just get used to the new setting.

For those of you living under a rock the last five years. Facebook is a social networking site. It allows you to connect with other users and share information about yourself. You can put up pictures, give likes, play games, give updates of what you are doing and so much more. It keeps growing and growing and so much is going on with it.

Make sure that you use facebook responsibily. Do not put up things or say things you do not want others to see. If you are going for a job interview some companies look at profiles to see who this person really is. So if they see a picture of you passed out drunk or saying things you shouldn’t you may not get the job.

I use facebook to connect with old friends that I haven’t seen in years. It is nice just to say hi and see what everyone is up too. To reconnect and share some old memories. I also play a lot of Mafia Wars. Its a game on there that is just addicting. Even though I keep telling myself that all I am doing is clicking buttons.

So enjoy facebook but use it right. It can do a lot of good. Let the world know what is going on and help put a smile on someones face. Facebook is one of the most viewed websites in the world. You can meet people from all over the world.

I visit facebook everyday. Another website that I vist a lot is cashcrate.com. At cashcrate you are able to do surveys, games, fill out questioners to earn extra money. It is free and you they pay every month. Please check out cashcrate and earn money like me!

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls have a great history, if you grew up in the 1990′s like I did you remember the Bulls. The Bulls had the greatest player every to play the game in Michael Jordan as well as Scottie Pipen, Horace Grant, and so many other greats. The Bulls won six titles in eight years. With many people believing that they could have won a few more if Jordan didn’t leave to play baseball and retire shortly after that. The Bulls were a great team during the 1990′s.

Shortly after Jordan left, so did everyone else. So there were some years where the Bulls were one of the worst teams in the league. They had little talent and their draft picks did not take off like everyone expected them to. But lately the Bulls have been playing better and making the playoffs. They have a good young squad with the Likes of Derek Rose and Jokim Noah.

Right now everyone is talking about free agency and many people are expecting the Bulls to sign on of the top players in the Game. Lebron James. It is believed to be between the Cavaliers and the Bulls, with the Bulls with the edge. Lebron James would make the Bulls an instant contender for the title. He is only 25 years old and is in the prime of his career. It is also believed if he signs with the Bulls that the Bulls would be able to sign another great free agent Chris Bosh.

The Bulls would be unBullievable, they would have a strong group of guys for the next 5, 6,7 years. The Bulls will be the toast of the NBA and it will be very exciting for Chicago. We have the Chicago Blackhawks playing termendous right now, the Bears on verge of being great. It will be a winning sports town for a while to come. Now we just need the Cubs to do something.

These players will be making millions of dollars every year. While I may not be making millions, Cashcrate allows me to earn some extra money. While I go to cashcrate to do surveys, play games, answer questions, do offers that will pay me. Advertisers pay them to have us answers surveys and questions and cashcrate will turn around and give some of that to us. Cashcrate is a place to earn a little extra money and have fun while doing it as well!

Wheel of Fortune

One of the longest running game shows reminds me of cashcrate. Wheel of Fortune is a great game show and allows you to earn money just like cashcrate.

Wheel of Fortune has been on the air for over 25 years, even though cashcrate has only been around for a few years, both allow you to earn some money for being smart.

There are two constants in the wheel of fortune and that is the host Pat Sajak and Vanna White. Pat Sajak is the host and Vanna White does the turning of the vowels and constants.

Wheel of Fortune has three contestants. It has evolved over the years, but there has always been three. To start the show now they will do a toss up, to start the game. Letters will start to turn one by one. Once enough are turned and someone recognizes the puzzle they will ring their buzzer and answer it. There are a total of three in the game. The first one starting at 1,000, then 2,000 and last is 3,000. Then they will do individual puzzles. Just like cashcate there are puzzles that can earn them money. So they will start and spin the wheel. On the wheel they can land on dollar figures for each letter, a bankrupt which makes them lose their money and turn, or lose a turn and go to the next person. You only keep the dollar amount that you earn if you solve the puzzle.

It is very exciting and sometimes the money can get up to the 20,000-30,000 for the big winner before the end. There are usually anywhere from 5-7 puzzles in the game. The biggest amount that you can land for one letter is 5,000. Most of the time it is between $250-$1500. If you are looking at the puzzle and can not figure it out, you are able to buy vowels. Vowels will cost you $250, but are worth it if you are unable to solve the puzzle.

At the end of the show, whoever has the most money won will go to the bonus round. In the bonus round you can win anywhere from 25,000 to 100,000. This is where you only compete against yourself and the clock. They will show the letters, r,s,t,l,n,e and you able to pick four more constants and one more vowel. If you solve you will win the prize, if not you do not win.

Wheel of fortune is a great game show, it has been on for over 25 years and will continue to do so. Cashcrate has been around for many years and will do the same. Both will allow you to earn money for the work you put into it. Since we all can not be on wheel of fortune, you should try cashcrate and earn some extra money!

E3 2010: Spotlight Sony

The recent focus of Sony in the gaming industry is to be the leader in entertainment, not just gaming. And they have succeeded, but as a result, in past years some of the games Sony has put out there have come up a little short in comparison to their competition. At their E3 2010 press conference, Sony did not shy away from continuing to widen the gap as the leader in overall entertainment, but they did so by incorporating the gaming aspect into it.

Entertainment and gaming collided hard when Sony announced their 3D World for the PlayStation 3. This new technology will allow gamers to play games in 3D. There will be 20+ games supporting 3D gaming by March of 2011, including hits such as Killzone 3 which will release in February 2011 and was featured in a live 3D demo during the press conference. Despite not being able to actually see the 3D part, the game still looked amazing and the gun fights shown were intense. I can only imagine how much better it looked to the people in the audience who actually saw it in 3D at E3. There will also be 4 downloadable games available at launch on the PSN Store. In order to play games in 3D on the PS3 gamers must have a Sony 3D television set, which retails at about $2000 for the cheapest. Gamers will also need to purchase a pair of special 3D glasses that are expected to cost $80-$100 per pair.

Another step forward taken by Sony in both entertainment and gaming is PlayStation Move. Move is basically a 100% better version of Nintendo’s Wii mote and nun chuck. At the press conference, Move was demoed in 2 specific games to show just how accurate it is. The first game was Tiger Woods 11. The Move controller interacts in 1:1 with the game, so whatever plane the controller is swung on is the plane the character in the game will swing on. In addition, how hard you swing determines the power with which your character will swing. So unlike the Wii versions, a flick of the wrist won’t net you a 330yd drive down the center of the fairway. The second game featured for Move was Sorcery. The game which will launch in spring of 2011 puts you as a sorcerer’s apprentice, and you must learn spells and battle enemies. Again, the Move controller interacts 1:1 and moving the controller at different angles will cause spells to be cast at different trajectories, which can be very helpful at attacking a specific area on an enemy that may be a weak spot. A trailer for another game that will work with move was shown as well. Heroes on the Move. The game allows you to play as your favorite heroes from your favorite PlayStation franchises. The 6 playable heroes include Ratchet, Jak, Daxter, Sly, Bently, and Clank.

Move will hit store shelves on September 15th and feature a price tag of $49.99 for the main controller and a $29.99 price tag for the navigation controller. There will be a few different move bundles available also. A bundle including the controller, eyetoy, and the game sports champions will cost $99. Add a PlayStation 3 to that previous bundle and the price jumps up to $399. At launch all of the games for Move will cost only $39.99, which is a nice discount from the normal $59.99 for regular games.

While a lot of focus was on 3D and games for Move, Sony didn’t forget about regular PS3 games or games for the PSP. For PlayStation 3 Sony showed off LittleBigPlanet 2 which will feature new competitive game modes and the ability to make any kind of game you can imagine. Racing, Shooter, Puzzle, you name it, you can make it… and play it. Sony also unveiled Medal of Honor which will be released on October 12 and be available in a limited edition which will feature the new Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Frontlines on the same disc. Another game shown off that will be available in limited edition was Dead Space 2. The limited edition version will feature a copy of Dead Space: Extraction with Move support. Trailers and demos for Portal 2, Mafia II, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood which will feature an exclusive beta and missions on the PS3, Gran Turismo 5, Infamous 2, and Twisted Metal rounded out the show for the PS3.

While no new PSP hardware was announced at E3 2010 as it was speculated it might be, the PSP still has a bright future ahead of it. There will be over 70 new titles for it by December including Tron Evolution: The Video Game, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Toy Story 3, Ace Combat: Joint Assault, The 3rd Birthday, UFC Unleashed 2010, and Invisimals.

The PSP also has a new marketing campaign that is staring Marcus Rivers, star of the comedy Role Models. The PSP isn’t the only Sony product featuring a new marketing campaign however. Sony has joined forces with Coke to create arguably the biggest marketing partnership in all of gaming. Coke packages will being featuring the PS3 and PlayStation Move and offer the opportunity to win Move, a PS3, and games. Needless to say, buying coke will be that much more of a no brainer now that there is a chance to win Move.

In addition to these new marketing campaigns, Sony also featured the coolest and worst feature at E3. I’ll start with the worst so this ends on a good note. While talking about some new features coming to the PSN, Jack Tretton made comments regarding how PSN is better than their competitor because they do not charge $50/year for use of their online service. He then proceeded to announce PlayStation Plus, which offers gamers exclusive features and content for $50/year. The coolest thing announced at any of the E3 press conferences also came from Sony. They made their full E3 booth available on PSN, allowing PlayStation 3 owners who were not able to make it to E3 to go and watch trailers of all the games at the Sony booth and even demo some of the games.

So now that you have heard about everything coming from Sony in the near future, you are probably starting to wonder how you are going to be able to pay for all of these new awesome games, Move, and the 3D technology. Join CashCrate today and start earning the extra money now, so you can get all of this great stuff from the leaders in entertainment on release day.

Fantasy Baseball

Fantasy baseball is a fun way to keep up with your favorite players and favorite teams. This is an entertainment that can take up a lot of your time. That is mainly played by guys, but some girls plays. Since it takes up a lot of time, this is one thing that a lot of girlfriends and wives do not like!

There are two main types of fantasy baseball. Roto and head to head. We will get back to these in a minute.

There are a few popular places to play fantasy baseball. Those are espn.com and yahoo.com. There are usually 10 or 12 teams in a fantasy baseball league. When you have all the people play (the managers), you will have a draft. There is like any draft people who choose players with the first pick and people who get there first pick 12th. Then the 12th pick will get the 13th pick and 11th pick would receive the 14th pick and so on. It goes back and fourth. The goal is the draft is to select your team, you need a player in for every position and pitchers. You get relief pitchers and starters. You will also need bench players to play certain days in your line up. You want to have the most balanced team, with hitting, power, speed. Good pitching, saves, era, etc.

Getting back to the two types of leagues we will start with the head to head league. This league you will face off against a different manager every week. You are essentially playing your team vs your team for that one week. You receive a point if you beat him in a certain category, or he will receive the point if he beats you. For example if I had 11 home runs with my team and he had 8 points, I would receive one point and he would receive 0. You want the points, they count as Wins or Losses. At the end of the season whoever has the most points will win the league. The disadvantage of this type of week, is that your players may have a off week and hurt your team for a week. Anyone can win a week if they get lucky.

In Roto you are playing against everyone for the entire season. The stats add up every day for the whole season, instead against teams weekly. This is better because players will have good weeks and bad weeks, but this keeps it balanced. It keeps it so the best player will win.

I hope this helps briefly explain fantasy baseball to you. Most leagues play for a nominal fee, which I am able to pay for by going to cashcrate and earning extra money.

Cashcrate is a free site that allows you to play games, do surveys, trial offers and much more. Cashcrate is paid by advertisers and then they pass on some of the money to it’s users. Going to College

In a few months many young adults are going to be taking the next step in life. Going to college and for many being away from their family for the first time. This is a very exciting time for many people, but very nervous as well. You can earn extra money while going away to college by going to cashcrate and filling out free surveys and offers!

I graduated from college about two years ago and would like to shed some light on a few things.

It is scary, you may not admit it to yourself or others, but it is. You are going to a new environment, for many people many hundred of miles away from home. You may know a few people from high school or somewhere else, but for the most part everyone you meet are brand new people. They are going to be totally different from you. They come from all different backgrounds, different states, different beliefs. While this may be scary, you are going to learn a lot about the world. You are going to meet life long friends. But the thing that you need to remember is that everyone else is going through the same process, the same feelings, the same worries, the first couple weeks may be rough, maybe not, but you will make it through it and be even better.

In college you are going to have many choices and many responsibilities. You are not going to have your parents hold your hands anymore, or to tell you no. You have to make choices, good ones and bad ones. And you are not always going to make the right choices. There are many pressures out there. There are parties all the time, there is going to times you have to decide if you are ready to drink and if you want to do drugs. You got to remember, if you want to, be smart and safe. Don’t drink too much, be in control when you drink. Look at other people when they are really drunk and decide, do I want that to be me? Do you want to go to class? No one is going to make you go to class, more people skip classes in college then they do in High School. If you don’t show up the professor isn’t going to call you. You may miss tests, classes, papers, and get bad grades. Or you may not, you have to be smart.

You have to remember when you go to College the reason you are there is to get an education and get a good job when you leave. Not for the party on that one Thursday night. You have to be responsible.

There are many issues when you leave and go away to school. Those are just two that I touched on briefly, remember to go to cashcrate and earn some extra money so you can relax some in college and do have fun. College is a time in my life I will never forget, I had a blast and met many great people. I hope you all do to.

Go to cashcrate and be able to make some extra money for college. At cashcrate you are able to earn extra money playing games, doing surveys, doing offers, and so much more. With a little extra work at cashcrate you will be able to earn some additional spending money at school.

E3 2010: Spotlight Nintendo

The Nintendo press conference from E3 2009 left a sour taste in the mouths of many gamers who helped build Nintendo into the gaming giant that it is today. Expectations were extremely high. There were hopes and prayers that Nintendo would finally deliver Wii versions of the core game franchises that Nintendo is known for. When nothing more than a trailer for a Metroid game with no release date in the near future was shown, lifelong loyal Nintendo supporters began to worry.

Fast Forward 1 year to the aftermath of the Nintendo press conference at E3 2010. Amazing, Im speechless, and Outstanding are just a few of the responses from these same supporters who had just witnessed what can only be described as a Hall of Fame lineup of games be debuted. Nintendo wasted no time in unveiling the greatness of this lineup by showing a live demo of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword right off the bat.
The game was designed from the ground up specifically for the Wii software. Using the wiimote and nun chuck controller, the player would have 1:1 control over Link’s sword and shield. In the live demo, this didn’t work so well. Many times the Wii did not register the movements at all, and when they did, 7/10 times the move that happened in the game was not the movement made by the player. The creator, who was demoing the game, claimed that they were having technical difficulties due to people in the audience using wireless devices. Don’t look too much into the poor demo because whether or not there were technical difficulties or the game just isn’t right yet, there is plenty of time to fix and issues as the game does not come out until sometime next year.

After showing off Zelda, core gamers may have thought they were done. Ha. Not even close. Nintendo also announced that they will be bringing one of the greatest games EVER to the Wii. Goldeneye. I don’t really need to say anymore for you to grasp the awesomeness of this, but I will. The game will feature 8 classic Bond characters, have improved graphics, and feature the phenomena that was 4 person spilt screen multiplayer. This time, however, the multiplayer will also be online. The game will launch this November.
Zelda AND Goldeneye. What more could you ask for if you are a Wii owner? How about Kirby, Donkey Kong, and Metroid! Kirby’s Epic Yarn will launch this fall and will bring a whole new look and feel to the franchise. Donkey Kong Country Returns, which will launch this holiday, is a throwback to the classic Donkey Kong, with a little feel of Sonic the Hedgehog mixed in. Metroid: Other M takes Samus on a whole new adventure that begins on August 31st. Gameplay trailers for all 3 games were shown, and all 3 games are exactly what every gamer could possibly ask for.

Nintendo also unveiled a few Wii games for the casual gamer. Headlining that list was Just Dance 2 which will be released this fall. The game is the sequel to the popular Just Dance, and will feature up to 8 players, dance crew face offs, and 40+ hit tracks. Another casual gamer’s game that was unveiled was Wii Party. The game will feature 13 party game modes with over 70 mini games to be played. Wii Party will launch this holiday just in time to add another level of fun to your holiday parties. In addition, another game called Disney Epic Mickey provides players with the opportunity to either paint and create solutions to problems, or thin and erase problems and enemies.

All of these games are sure to be amazing, but what would a Nintendo press conference be without hearing about the little red plumber who saves the world. That’s right, Mario is back. He has been all across the world, been to the Olympics, the world cup, and many other sporting events, but in 2011, Mario will be bringing 4 sports to your living room in Mario Sports Mix. The game will feature well known Mario characters playable in Basketball, Volleyball, Hockey, and Dodgeball.

With all of these big titles coming for the Wii, it would have been easy for the Nintendo DS to get pushed to the side at this years E3. However, the DS may have been the hottest topic of the Nintendo press conference. They showed off, for the first time, the new Nintendo 3DS, which will provide portable 3D gaming without having to wear those unstylish glasses. The new handheld portable features a 3D depth slider which can be changed from full, to 2D, to off, a single touch screen on the bottom, and 2 camera lenses that allow for pictures to be taken in 3D.

For this new 3D gaming technology, 3 DS games were announced at the Nintendo press conference. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn which will launch this holiday, Dragonquest IX which comes out in just 26 days, and Kid Icarus: Uprising whose gameplay trailer blew the crowed away. In addition to these 3 games, it was revealed that developers of top game franchises such as Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, and Madden NFL will be working to bring games to the DS in 3D.

So now that you have heard about the Hall of Fame worthy lineup of Wii games coming from Nintendo in the near future, you are probably starting to wonder how you are going to be able to pay for all of these new awesome games and the new Nintendo 3DS. Join CashCrate today and start earning the extra money now, so you can get all of this industry changing technology on release day.
