The new iPhone 4G is being released on Thursday, June 24th at 7:00am! Pre-sales were said to have sold out in just 15 minutes, were you able to snag one? The iPhone 4G has many features that have been added as well as a new, sleek style. This model is much thinner, the thinnest touch screen phone thus far. It is also made out of Unlike the preceding iPhone’s the iPhone 4G will have a forward facing camera, making it possible to Skype! As well as the Skype, the new 5 megapixel camera will have zoom and a flash, which we features that were not included on the iPhone 3G or 3Gs. The 4G will also have what is being called “retina display,” meaning that it has 326 pixels per inch, or four times the pixel density of a typical LCD screen. One major complaint of the 3G and 3Gs was their battery time, but the 4G has taken care of that. The iPhone 4G will be capable of up to 7 hours of talk time, up to 10 hours of wi-fi internet surfing, as well as the ability to play up to 10 hours of video or 60 hours of music and having a standby time of up to 300 hours. Yes 300 hours, without charging! That is 12.5 days!
Along with the new iPhone model, Apple has released the new operating system, or iOS 4, today. With the new iOS, you are able to multitask. In other words, you will be able to listen to Pandora radio and play a game or surf the net at the same time. If you get a text or call, it will not interrupt you in your game or music! I upgraded my iOS today and am very impressed. Along with the multitasking, there is also the ability to organize all of your apps on your home screen in files, as well as putting a wallpaper on your home screen and your lock screen.
The iPhone 4G will be available at Apple Stores, AT&T stores, as well as retailers such as Radio Shack, Walmart, and Best Buy. It is estimated that it will be difficult to get ahold of immediately, but you should expect lines for miles out the doors of the previously mentioned stores on June 24th. The pricing will be on par with that of the previous models. AT&T is offering anyone who’s contract expired in 2010 to upgrade to the 4G for just $199 for the 16 GB, or $299 for the 32 GB model.
If the price seems a bit steep, there are options. One option is to sell your old iPhone to Radio Shack. They will give you a store gift card, which you can then turn around and use it toward your new iPhone 4G. To make up for the remaining, I have invested my time in making money online by doing offers and surveys on CashCrate. The GPT also known as get paid to site pays it’s members to fill out simple surveys and give their opinions of everyday items, click here if you want to check it out. With CashCrate, I have found a way to get my iPhone 4G. I will be in the lines on June 24th, will you?
