The gaming skeptics are shaking in their boots after learning about OnLive, a Gaming-On-Demand platform, actually works just like intended. OnLive is one of the most revolutionary things to come to gaming in a long time, or at least that’s how many people are portraying it.

OnLive insists it can relieve your computer from having to run straining by running them through its massive servers. Your controls are sent to the servers, and they send back a high-definition high-definition streamed video of your gameplay. This lifts any need for any pricey gaming hardware to play your games for you! Pretty much all you’ll need is a gadget that can display streaming video, which are very plentiful in this day and age.

This would be a pretty big revolution in the gaming industry if it took off, and it certainly seems like gaming execs think this might be the future of gaming as we know it. OnLive has already signed deals with most major game-producing labels and will have popular titles such as Assassin’s Creed II, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and Splinter Cell: Conviction. OnLive will certainly be competitive from the get-go. It has quite a bit of hype, there is certainly reason for all the skepticism towards it.

Many skeptics have criticized the product, some even calling it impossible. However, OnLive seems to work near flawlessly. Buying games is very sleek, you just click ‘purchase’ and you’re done. Playing games is relatively fast. There is a slight lag when your information is being sent to their serves and back again to you though, which could discourage any hardcore gamers. Most OnLive users will not even notice it thankfully.

Prices are relatively low. $4.95 a month for OnLive subscriptions. Due to a deal with AT&T however, OnLive will be free for the first year for its first customers, so watch out for that prospect! One problem however is that you must purchase their games for full price and if you choose to cancel your subscription from OnLive for any reason, your games go along with it. This is very disheartening for skeptical consumers looking to try out OnLive. If they are not satisfied with OnLive and have bought only a few games, they are out of luck if they want a refund.

Need help making money for the subscription? There is a site which can make you money from the get-go, CashCrate. Complete offers, do surveys, refer new members, even get cash back on your online shopping, this site is a gold mine!

Some users make over a thousand a month from CashCrate, isn’t that amazing? More than enough to pay for an OnLive subscription and a few games! I have never heard of OnLive before, but it sounds really cool. Although, I dont know how revolutionary it is since stores like gamestop allow you to purchase and download games right to your computer aswell. And you dont have to pay for any service to play them and wont ever lose the games.
