It is almost upon us. Training camps are starting and football is back in the air. The most popular sport in the United States will be starting with preseason games in a little over a month. Not a lot of people care about pre-season games, but pre-season means that the season is almost here.
Football is the most popular sport here in the united states. There are teams in most major cities and it is all over the television. In face that is where the NFL makes the most money is by their TV contracts.
There are many great teams this year. Cowboys, Colts, Ravens, Saints, Chargers, and others. One of the best things about the NFL is that every year there are suprise teams. A team that was not very good the year before but they come out strong and make a push and make the playoffs. It happens every year, while this may not happen in all sports.
Myself, I am a Chicago Bears fan, and a lot of people are not believing in the Bears this year. However, they have a great young quarterback, Jake Cutler, who can make a huge difference. They also have improved their defence and are getting healthier.
Sundays soon will be back and we will be able to watch football all day. For guys, what is better. Not a whole lot. Meeting up with friends, getting some snacks and drinks. And watching your favorite team play.
Right now there is a labor issue upon us. After this season, the contract ends between the owners and players. Hopefully, they will be able to come to a understanding soon. If they do not, we may not have football next year, or only for part of they year. It is a very touchy subject that could be talked about for hours. I hope that they will realize a win win for everyone.

I am super excited for this NFL season. Im a Cleveland fan and we havent had to much good going for us in the sports world this year. One of the few bright spots was the Browns draft this year. Under new control of football genious Mike Holgren, the Browns had a very solid draft, and even though we didnt get the guy who most fans wanted (Eric Berry, picked by Chiefs at 5) we came away with a eletric young corner (a position that was lacking big time) and possibly our QB of the FUTURE in Joe Haden and Colt McCoy. We also added some other good yound talent in Monterio Hardesty, TJ Ward, and Shaun Lavalo. When you add them to the mix with the good FA signings, a more experinced receiving corp, and QB who isnt fearing his job is on the line week in and week out, the Browns are looking very good this year. Im projecting a 9-7 season and possibly a Wild Card spot. This year is going to be great!!!!!!!!
