If you are wondering or maybe just did a google search for “Is cashcrate a scam“.
Well, let me share a little free information and my personal experience!
A while back (a little more than four years ago), I was thinking about how to make some extra money online without much effort and not spending any of my hard-earned money to make money!
I started doing a Yahoo search, (Google wasn’t my main search engine back then), for “easy ways to make money online” and was fortunate enough to come to a blog that shared some different ways to make an online income. Now, I really took the time to read the different tips that the blog author has posted! What really caught my eye was the posting about making money from doing online surveys!
Well to make a real long story short (okay, to really to keep this article shorter), I clicked on the banner that was posted! It took me to the site, I signed up and almost instantly got my “Cashcrate Welcome Email”. Now, I kinda took my sweet time about doing a survey or offer, mainly because I was new to this online stuff. When I finally did a few offers and surveys (just did the free ones), I was amazed at how fast my earning was building up, it didn’t take me long to make payout! Then I started to make more money by recommending (referring) my friends! Unbelievable referrals payouts!
Okay, maybe your wondering, what so special about this article? Well, like I mentioned earlier, that was four almost five years ago, and I have made the $20.00 pay out each and every month since then, quite easily! That kinda makes me a real experienced about the Cashcrate survey site!
Now, don’t get me wrong. If you are looking for a full-time online income, doing surveys and offers may not be the thing for you. Sure won’t make you a millionaire overnight but you can make some good money doing surveys from Cashcrate.
So, if you want to make some extra money without much effort then do like I did and sign up!
Also on a final note…
(1)Cashcrate pays you by check, not by Paypal!
(2)Minimum payout is $20.00 (USA Funds) and if you make payout
by the end of the month, you should get a check around 10 days later (that the average time fom mine).
(3) If you don’t make payout, your earnings will be “carried over” to the next month.
(4) You will lose your Cashcrate account if you do anything fradulent! Read the FAQ’s and TOS and make sure you don’t spam!
Feel free to leave any question or concerns in the comment box!

Thank you soooooo much! I was wondering how this website works!
Your more than welcome Cutie Pie! Feel free to post anymore questions that you have, I will do my best to help you!
I have to say that this article is one of the more informative ones, especially at the end with your pointers. I think what really sets Cashcrate apart from all the others is the fact that they pay via check and not paypal, as you pointed out. I’m not sure everyone knows that, but it’s pretty awesome.
Thanks for making an informative page on Cashcrate. People really need to know that Cashcrate is once and for all not a scam, but a great way to earn extra income.
so do you have to pay to get an account up?
Hi Nick,
No it is 100% free and doesn't cost anything to join up.
heyy i know you must of spent a long time writing that .. but are you sure that it isn't a scam ? I can't afford to have given all of my personal details & its a scam.
Hi Caitlin,
I've been a member with Cashcrate since 2008 and have received a check every month since. I wouldn't go to the trouble of creating a site like this if it was a scam. Cashcrate has in excess of 2 million members and that wouldn't be so if it was a scam.
I can certainly understand people's concerns, but I can honestly say that not every money making opportunity is a scam and Cashcrate is one of the sites that isn't but ultimately it is up to you to decide to give it a go or not.
thank you but sorry i am still scared,,
I agree with the admin, but understand your apprehensions David. I have been a member of CashCrate since 2009 and have received all of my checks on time. Your social security number or credit card number are never required and there is no fee to sign up and try it out.
cashcrate has 2 million people that signed up, but that doesn't mean they're all still active or even did anything. offers will spam and you will get tons of telemarketer calls. if you're willing to go through the hassle, they do pay though and have the best referral system.
Do you need an active phone? I don't have a land-line or a cell. My parents do but I don't, and they don't want me using theirs unless I have to.
Oh, and could you mail me a link back to this page please. (just look at my username)
Plus, I've herd otherwise on different sites about the telemarketers, nobody had any problems and they just got email spam. I think it would at least be wise to make a secondary email just for this service that way it's a lot easier to separate the Junk from your important files.
P.s.: sorry for the triple post.
Hi there, no you do not need an active phone to signup to Cashcrate and get started although some of the offers will ask for a phone number, how ever in my experience you will get a lot of marketing email as you said and yes it is highly recommended to get a couple of throw away email addresses. You may get one or two letters a month and rarely any phone calls.
It is basically free to send an email for marketers, but it costs them money and time to send out mail and make phone calls so it rarely happens.
That is some good information. Especially about getting a check and not by paypal. I personally would rather have a check.
Have to agree with you, Lauren! Not everyone can set up a paypal account and it is generally much easier to cash a check!
While I am here..sure would like to thank everyone that posted a comment in this "Is Cashcrate A Scam. Another “Get Paid To” Survey Scam !?!" article!
Really good information. I have been doing cash crate off and on for a bout a year now, I"ve gotten 3 checks, but I've not put alot of effort into the past 6 months, so I was really happy with the fact that the accounts will not be deactivated and the money carries over, so you don't lose anything.
The simple fact that it is free to join and stay a member is great as well.
Can you paticipate from outside the US?
Yes you can
Ive read this article a few times before and not sure why I have never commented to say how great this article is. So…
Great article Brian.
And I have also been reading the comments and i must say I love the one from "sam." Those type of comments always amuse me because I can never tell what the intent is. First he says you will get a bunch of spam and telemarketer calls, and then that cashcrate is legit and has the best referral program. Are you trying to get people to sign up? Or are you encouraging them to stay away?
Great article! I cannot even count the number of times I have tried to tell someone about CashCrate and they have just said, "No! That's just another scam!" It is great to see someone taking a stance and setting the record straight. I have been doing CashCrate and have been making money consistently since I signed up. Lately there have been some great promotional contests on the forum as well, 2 of which I won a prize from. CashCrate just offers so much to their members that there really is no reason not to give it a shot. If you spend time surfing the internet, why not make money doing it?
Thanks for your kind responses, Eucallstar12 and jrwinney!
Especially considering that both of your articles are very informative! Glad to see other people are making extra money from Cashcrate!
Your very welcome Brian and thank you for the compliment about the articles I have written. I too am glad that others are earning extra money with Cashcrate. It is always nice to hear stories from many of these new members of how Cashcrate has helped them in different ways, whether it be giving them the extra cash to buy something nice for themselves or pay a bill that they were worried they wouldnt have been able to.
No! It is definitely not a scam! I’ve received a check every month for the past 3 years now. I’ve gotten Amazon money credit also. The forum community is very nice too. Everyone works together to help you get the most of your time and effort.
CashCrate claims to pay users for signing up for offers, trying new products, completing surveys and getting cash back on purchases made at hundreds of your their online retailers.
All the user has to do is “fill out the form with valid information and participate.” What this really means is that the user will be asked to:
1) provide an email address which will be sold to numerous third parties, thereby generating hundreds of spam messages to your inbox every day.
2) fill out a form that needs to include a cell phone number. The moment the cell phone number is divulged, the user will receive text spam at a cost to the USER of $9.99.
3) complete any two offers. These offers may seem free (such as a free trial to whiter teeth), but users will be asked to reveal credit card details in order to cover shipping and processing. Mostly this is a nominal fee of no more than one dollar, but the point is that CashCrate and its advertisers will acquire credit card information that may then be used in any one of a number of credit card scams.
If all the steps are not fulfilled, user participation is considered incomplete and the account will not be credited.
With that in mind, very few CashCrate offers exist that do not require either a cell phone number or credit card information. CashCrate is visibly a scam and a dangerous one at that. Therefore the best way to avoid being scammed by CashCrate is to avoid CashCrate altogether.
Interesting response "MaxRyd"! Of course I am going to ignore the obvious, that the only reason you responded was to "drop your link" to help your blog out! I knew this was the reason by your obvious lack of factual information about Cashcrate!
Let me set you straight..
(1)Cashcrate doesn't sell your email address, your privacy is respected and guaranteed.
(2)Yes the "Credit Card" one especially the higher paying ones, you do have to give a phone number simply because this provide proof that you are actually interested in the offer and that you are a trying to defraud the company. The vast majority of offers do not require a phone/cell number.
(3)Again, Cashcrate doesn't require your credit card number, only the higher paying ones, the reason was stated in (2) The higher paying sites that do require your credit do have a history of being online, are reputable sites (Amazon, Godaddy, eBay are just a few) and are throughly researched by the trained staff at Cashcrate before they are offered to the members!
In my opinion, a person should actually join a program and give it a honest try before posting any negative reviews!
Since I mentioned the higher paying credit card offers a few times, majority of honest members only do the offers that actually appeal to them, there are plenty of members (like me) who haven't done a credit card offer, strictly the free ones and still make good extra money from Cashcrate!
this website is totally legit if you join with this http address you get an instant 5 dollars just for signing up! "Edited by admin"
Please don't lie, you only get $1.00 for signing up not $5.
if you're not from U.s, like asia , how long will it take to receive your pay checks?
Hi Jemilane, I'm from Australia and it takes me about 2 to 3 weeks to get my check, so really not that long at all
is it safe to give my address to them?
Cash Crate was a great program, but after 5 years of service, Cahcrate has over 2 million users, most of them are no longer active, but they are still there.
The best way to capitalize on Paid to Click programs is signing up when they first come out. If you get in the front lines of a new website, you can make a living with one site. The newer the site the easier to get referrals.
I would look into Varolo. New paid to click for 2011. It only deals with video ads, so no surveys or credit cards needed. Plus, they just doubled our ad prices, doubling our income! The more advertisers that sign up, the more money the users use.
Cash crate has been around for so long, it is terribly difficult to make a living off that program anymore. I would suggest contacting your referrals and working on a new paid to click site opening up this year.
Varolo will eventually pay its users far more than any other paid to click before it. The payment structure is based upon keyword competition so as the amount of advertisers increase, so do the ad prices and the users get a fixed percentage.
hello everyone!
I just started my account with cashcrate and
made $2.80 in 2 hrs. I know not much but that includes the time to sign up and read the instructions and all.
BrianMc what was your biggest pay-check you earned?
I herd people were excited when they got $75.00 check…. Is that what you usualy make per month?
why is it that i can't join even if i already filled up the form… it doesn't work when i click the "i'm done button"..
Man, I wish I knew who you were on cashcrate, I bet you have a TON of referrals.
Hi there Dave, I can tell you that myself the owner of this site is known as adam7one at cashcrate as to the author of this post, I'll leave that up to him to reply to if he wishes.
So, do you guys publish anyones post on here? referral code and all?
I was browsing some and it seems that almost anyone can have a post on here.
Is this site a subsidiary of cashcrate?
Hi Dave, I am a member of cashcrate (not the owner) I have setup the site so that it is a group project and that everyone benfits as a result, I get traffic to the site a bit of money from bidvertiser ads and a few referrals and the article contributors get a back link to their site and their referral link posted with their article as you have already seen.
If you would like to contribute an article, feel free to use the contact page and I will post your article.
Articles need to be unique and related to cashcrate in some way, try to stay away from the generic article and do something different, like this article.
The author of this article has also registered a domain and redirected it to this post and got some back links together so it gets a bit of traffic now and ranks highly for the search term "cashcrate scam".
Anyway hope this helps and I look forward to your article submission.
Pretty sure that this site is very helpful for Cashcrate members!
In response to "Dave
Man, I wish I knew who you were on cashcrate, I bet you have a TON of referrals."
Yes I am on Cashcrate forum regularly and I do have a lot of referrals. But I didn't get those referrals overnight, I had to put in the "Time + Effort = Referrals"!
Probably would have made "Elite" level much faster, if I had written articles full of content.
Asalam-0-alikum can i receive my payment in Pakistan
Check's are sent all over the world, including Pakistan
i live in nashville tn how long will it take to get a check
Expect your check around the 25th give or take a couple of days
Interesting response Derek Stein! I especially found this interesting, "will eventually pay its users far more than any other paid to click before it"!
Quite the bold statement for a site that hasn't any history and more of a "false" statement of yours when you "suggest" joining a site with no history that is starting up! For every established site like Cashcrate (five years old) there been hundreds that have failed. They fail cause they make false promises about payouts, can't make their payouts!
There even a few "webmasters" that start a site, make some money from the advertisers, don't pay their members or if they do pay their members, it is a bare minimum and then they "close" down the site ONLY to open another site…etc etc!
I been around the GPT industry long enough to know about what goes on, and what sites to avoid like "Bux" sites and especially the site that you are trying to plug!
Like I stated in my "Cashcrate Scam" article,I have been getting paid from Cashcrate every month now (over four years) since I joined!
Finally Derek Stein..Feel free to post a rebuttable to this response!
The offers you have to pay for eventually. Not at first you will think you are getting OMG $16.00 or approx…. but they run out and the ones that say 100% free require you to do offers that COST MONEY. Seems nice at first… but is trash
This I find is a classic response from just like many others that did not take the time to understand what cashcrate has to offer. Yes there are some trial offers that can pay you $16 or so and will require your credit card details. How ever these are actually what they say they are, trial offers in other words you get a rebate for trying the product out.
If you are trying out offers that you are legitimately interested in then I can not see the problem and if at the end of the usual 30 day trial period if you find it is not for you then cancel the offer within it's terms and it costs you nothing.
My name is Robin, i come from Malaysia. May i know how long it takes for the check to reach my house since there is a a big distance between us.
Hi Robin, depending on how fast your countries mail is, expect around 2 to 3 weeks.
i was wondering, since i live in Canada, do they still make the checks for me? or do you have to be American?
Also, how long would it take for the check to reach my house?
Hey there Sara! Great question and to answer, your question about recieving checks (cheques)in Canada, Yes Cashcrate does send checks (cheques) to Canada, I usually get mine about three weeks after they are issued, sometime a little earlier…Also I have no problems with cashing them at my bank.
Good luck and hope you make some good extra money at Cashcrate!
P.s. there are plenty of surveys/offers for Canadians at Cashcrate.
Great article! I love reading these articles that set the reader straight, and prove to people that cashcrate is not scam. It really disappoints me when people don't give it a shot before jumping to conclusions. It's free! Why be skeptical?
will i be required to be have a bank account? any way am in Ghana and was wondering if the check can get to me
Thanks Cashcrate Scam for your review of my "Is Cashcrate legit" article. Bottomline, mainly because I been referring (promoting) for a few years now (like the admin of this site), if I was not making a nice extra passive income from Cashcrate, I would be writing an articles and explaining…why exactly Cashcrate is a scam! But since Cashcrate one of the few legit "Get Paid To" site online, you won't see that article!
Cash Crate is a FRAUD and a SCAM! They tried to steal over 2 thousand bucks from me. I am a widow at 39. I have two kids to take care of. They cheated me out of all of my money and now I owe the bank the money they asked me to send. This company sucks!
I'm sorry Kristy, but that just sounds like bullshit to me.
Cash Crate is a great way to earn side money as long as you have an email specifically for all the stuff you sign up for. Check it out.
No its not a scam like most other GPT sites. it is OK. I work with many sites like CoolerCash which pays every 5 days and their customer service is great. Treasure trooper which is also fun to work on as well. You just have to feel them out. I only work with these three sites.
Great tip Katie and thanks for sharing it!
You're so correct "richard Traxel" Cashcrate is not a scam site like most other GPT sites
Cashcrate is a great way to make some extra money online. That day in October 3 years ago that I decided to join Cashcrate was one of the best decisions I ever made. Not only have I earned over $2000 since I joined, but it also snowballed a "make money online" project for me. I got interested in other ways of earning online and now I do quite well for myself; making more than I even make at my full time job!
Are my results typical and should be expected for everyone? Probably not. But if you put the same time and effort into it like I did, you can have the same results or better.
- TriNi
I am only interested in surveys that pay money
as opposed to winning things. Is this possible
with your company?
Hi Jodie, pretty much all the surveys pay a cash reward upon completion bar one that is for a $50,000 sweepstakes entry, up to you of course which surveys you do and don't do.
Cashcrate has been a headache for nothing. Frugal dad lied & said it was a 410 min for payout & its 20. Plus, when I got clost to 20 the surveys didn't get credited. Its time consuming & for little of anything but lots of spam. It sucks!
I know the post you are talking about Katie, I believe it is about 3 years old and at that time cashcrate did have a minimum payout of $10 which has since increased to $20.
Surveys are after responses from a certain demographic of people, eg if the survey is about disposable diapers, it would be looking for mothers with babies, rather then teens or people with grown up children. If the surveys is for razor blades, then it would most likely look for men that shave at least 3 times per week and do not use electric shavers.
Each survey is looking for respondents that are involved in particular things, so you maybe unlucky with some and not fit the criteria but keep trying as new surveys come online constantly.
As to the site "sucking" well I guess that is your personal opinion but there are plenty more people that think differently to you and are having great results with cashcrate.
Thanks for taking the time and making a comment
Adam
Um…. I just a random 14 year old girl trying to get money. I'm confused and I need a real answer!
Is cashcrate a scam or it does give you money? if so how will they give me my money? In cash? check? they better not give it to my parents…. -_- Plz I need to know
Hi Gabriella,
You will be happy to know that cashcrate is very real and has paid out in excess of $3,000,000.00 to it's members since it's inception. Any money you earn will be paid out to you in your name by check. You earn the money there so you get the money not your parents.
